What makes Asus SL101 more than just a tablet? Physical prove reveals that besides being a tablet computer, this pad can be turned into a notebook in only a few seconds. If you are an enthusiast of Asus products, you must remember that in the first quarter of 2011 Asus had released the Asus Eee Transformer, a tablet with docking keyboard which enables you to get unique tablet/notebook experience. Lately, Asus also launched Asus Eee Pad Slider, a tablet computer with built-in QWERTY keyboard for unique laptop-like experience. Similar to the Transformer model, this Slider series is also the result of constant innovation from Asus as one of the world’s best computer manufacturers.
Under the hood, the Asus Slider is supported by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor. The name itself guarantees you of a better web browsing, console-like gaming experience, full Adobe Flash 10.3 support, and charming quality of HD video conferencing and playback. The tablet also comes with 1 GB DDR2 memory, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, dual cameras, and Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR. The tablet is available in two choices of storage capacities: 16 GB and 32 GB. Both capacities use eMMC Flash.
For great viewing sensation, Asus Eee Pad Slider comes equipped with 10.1-inch WXGA IPS capacitive multi-touch display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. With 178 degrees of viewing angles and 1280 x 800 of screen resolution, you can easily view high-res videos or photos from many different angles. To increase the HD experience, simply connect your Slider to a HD television or other external displays with its Mini HDMI hub. Besides the Mini HDMI port, you will also find other input/output ports which include a USB 2.0 and a 2-in-1 audio jack which functions as a head phone as well as a mic-in jack.
Using the Android 3.2 Honeycomb Operating System, there are a lot of new features you can find from the hybrid tablet. The Android 3.2 enables five customizable Home screens which give quick access to all parts of the system. Every Home screen gives you large grids for easy arrangement whether in landscape or portrait orientation. Using a visual layout mode, you can easily manage the Home screen app shortcuts, widgets, and wallpapers. With each Home screen, you can also access all installed applications and Search box for finding your favorite media files, web content, apps, and contacts without difficulties. Besides the useful Home screens, Android 3.2 Honeycombs also features redesigned soft keyboard, advanced text selection, copy, and paste, easy visual multitasking, and a bunch of latest applications.
